You may have noticed STV doing additional work on some of the front gardens over the last few weeks. And perhaps wondered what was happening? In fact, this is part of a repair program for some 100 lawns, currently being coordinated by Jesus Zapata of STV, to help these lawns recover from previous damage. When we spoke with Jesus, he explained that: “Over the last few months we have conducted assessments of the front gardens, and it was clear that some gardens were damaged more than others by the drought conditions and some had other challenges that need to be addressed. It might be shade from buildings or plants/trees, damage caused by overly compacted ground, or sections of the irrigation system that are not working as required. This program is aimed at finding these issues and looking for solutions to the challenges – giving the lawns the best chance they can have to start to recover.”

This is all a part of the quality management-based system being developed together with STV. A system and solutions that come at no extra cost to our community.
