How do I use this website?
On this page you will find answers to questions that are frequently directed to us, if you have a question that you feel may benefit this page and owners then please submit your question by Contacting Us and we will be pleased to help.
Do I need to login in to the site?
It depends. You only need to login to be able to see and access the "private" area of the website. The private area will contain matters which are only relevant to Owners as opposed to tennants or visitors. The public area will contain issues of general importance in repect of activities on the resort. However, we do suggest that Owners sign in to ensure that they do not miss any news item.
How do I access the private areas of the site?
To access the private areas of the site you need to login with your username and password. All user names are in the format of an email address although it is not an active live email address. You should login at the very top of the page, in the boxes labelled as "email" and "password", located on the right with the user name and personal password that you have been given and then click on the Login button. You can then select your choice from the black coloured menu bar below the photo of the resort.
I forgot my password - what do I do?
Please use the Contact Form on the website to ask Werner (Community Support) to resend your password.
Please note you do not have to be logged in to use the Contact or Suggestions Forms.
How do I navigate the site and obtain information?
Use the black menu bar to pick one of the Categories. You will find the majority of the information in the News section. The information contained here can be "filtered" by picking one of the categories displayed on the right hand side and also by date by using the Month Filter drop down box above and clicking on the "Show" button.
The Downloads and Documents section contains general Archive information rather than up to date news. There is a category feature to help you identify the document required.
You can also use the 4 large, quick access buttons on the right hand side of the Home page to "jump" direct to a specificsection
If you want to make a comment on any News item then there is a Comment Form at the end of the article which you can complete. This will send an email direct to the website administrator to review. As long as you keep to the normal rules of decency, respect others and not make any comments that are critical of individuals or contain inappropriate language then the "comment" will be added to the relevent News Item. Please note that you must identify yourself with full name, plot number or address, otherwise the "comment" will not be accepted. The website is available to all owners, tenants and visitors to the resort. As the Community website has been financed out of community funds, it must be made available to community debtors. However, whilst a community debtor can access all areas of the website, they cannot make comments on any news item.
The Suggestion section is there for you to use to send an email direct to the Committee concerning a general issue that you want to raise.
The other sections covering the Committee, Links and Frequently Asked Questions are self explanatory.
Items for Sale
You can list any item you have for sale, free of charge, on the website. All you have to do is to use the Comment form below to enter your own contact details (your name and address or plot number) and the description of the item that you wish to sell. Your item will be emailed to the website administrator for subsequent inclusion in the For Sale items category. Please make sure you do give full contact details otherwise it will not be possible to list your item(s).
The For Sale items will be removed periodically to allow space for newer items to be listed.
The Mar Menor Golf Resort Community of Owners does not warrant or guarantee any information supplied by the users of this website and is not responsible for any consequences arising from such information.
Future facilities

In the next couple of months we will be introducing a facility on the website where Owners will be able to list details of their properties for sale or for rental. These details,apart from a description of the property can also include photographs and video clips. There will be a small administration fee applicable for this Owners service.

I am a new owner - What do I have to do?
You should contact our Administrators, Mare Nostrum to let them have your contact details and to arrange for payment of your community fees.
Please also ask to receive communications and newsletters by email as you will receive information far quicker and it will save the community money.
Please do not forget to use the contact form on this website to obtain your personal website sign on and password.

How can I get UK language television in my house?
Television on Mar Menor
There are two ways of receiving TV on the resort, either through an analogue signal or digital signal.
The analogue signal provides around 20 English language channels and you can use more than one TV in your property.
The digital signal provides over 100 channels of which approx 50 are English language and requires a digital decoder for each TV to be able to view.
You can either set up a contract direct with Polaris Telecom for free, for a range of digital channels, but you will need a decoder costing €200/€230 euros or direct with Surpris07 for the analogue system at a cost of 92 euros for a six month period or 18 euros per month for the full digital TV package.
